Weeding in January

Although weeds are more abundant in the summer time, Georgia’s mild winter is giving us no break from this common task. Weeds can be a problem even far into the season because they harbor pests, become competitive for resources, and can decrease airflow which becomes a favorable habitat for disease. This morning, we weeded 3 rows of collard greens and 3 rows of kale! Looking beautiful!
