Look what Burke and I found growing over a fallen tree. Anyone know what it is?
Clarke Middle students had a blast today out at the farm! From tasting hot peppers to composting, a good time was had by all!
Pictured here is wonderful Wick working with students!
Ants love water as much as we do so you can find them anywhere that you can find water.
Here are some ants hanging out on the drip irrigation system. Drip irrigation is a great way to efficiently use water because it provides water directly to the root system so there is little loss of water!
From colorful zinnias in the summertime (see prior post) to intricately patterned butterflies to extremely fuzzy caterpillars, and most importantly, the beauty of donating much of our harvest to those in need, UGArden is a place filled with wonder and grace. For now, here are some gorgeous specimens seen recently at the garden.
Did you know UGArden has a full-fledged medicinal plants garden? We do and it’s packed with healthy herbs for what ails ya! Everything from burdock to holy basil, we have it all!
Coming very soon to a UGArden near you!
We did some serious BCS work today at the gardens! Homeschoolers now have a fully-prepped plot!
A BCS is an Italian-made “mini-tractor.” You can attach multiple implements onto this bad boy to accomplish nearly any task! The piece we have attached in these pictures is the tiller, which we used to mix up our soil amendments.
Jeremy tilling up a storm!
Eye of the tiger from Burke!
