My name’s Jacob Kennedy. I’m a senior Anthropology major and spring intern at UGArden. I started volunteering with UGArden last spring after taking several anthropology and geography classes on food and agriculture. After that I took Sustainable Community Food Production with Dr. Berle and I knew I wanted to spend more time out on the farm. Within anthropology I’m interested in issues of food security and community development. Food is both an academic and professional interest as well as a hobby for me. I’m really excited to get my hands dirty and let’s be honest, drive those sweet tractors. I’m thinking of names for each; I’ll let you know what I come up.
