Yesterday, I went hunting for caterpillars. Spraying them has been unsuccessful, because we have had a considerable amount of rain. They have been feasting on the brussels sprout plants, as you can see the large holes. Some of them are quite large, because they are fattening up before they make their cocoons in which they transform into butterflies. Some of them have already begun this process, as you can see above. When you squish them, they give off an awful smell, and it is quite gross. Sometimes, they caterpillars are found on the underside of the leaves, or also in the center of the growing tip. Hopefully, they will now not be such a problem, but time will tell.
